This stunning bronze Chess Set was designed by Giuseppe Vasari, Milan, Italy (1934 – 2005). It has a chessboard 16 sq ” with onyx and marble squares trimmed with a bronze frame, 18″ overall. This set, Romans (gold) vs. Egyptians (silver) is produced in bronze, hand chiseled and finished with Gold and Silver. There were only a few of these special artistic Chess Sets produced each year. The pieces are signed with etched mark and original labels King measures 4 1/8″ high and the Quenn 3 3/4″ high. Circa 1970.
