SOLD! – Pair Rare Aynsley Orchard deep red Bone China Teacup & Saucer Fruit – England

Price includes shipping and insurance within the US.

Pair of fine quality red Anysley fruit orchard tea cup & saucer in the Oban shape, made in England.  This and similar designs were done in several colors and shapes. This is the larger, smooth saucer shape with a two different fruit design on the interior of the tea cup featuring plums, peaches, grapes and berries. The color in person is a beautiful deep red, more like a blood red than a burgundy and not an orange red (in case your monitor settings are different than mine), trimmed in gold.  The mark was first used in 1972.  These sell for $80 each but one saucer has a tiny glaze flaw (see below) so I am listing both at a deeply discounted price. These would make a lovely display piece in any decor or can be used functionally as well.

Size: Saucer – 5.75″ w, cup is 4″w (cup only) x 2.5″h.

Condition: Mint condition. No wear on the gold trim.  No chips, cracks or staining.  One saucer has a small defect in the paint, there is an area about .5″ long where the red glaze does not quite meet the gold trim and the white background shows. I have pictured this but it is difficult to see.
