About Cherish The Old

Cherish The Old LLC is a home grown NJ business formed in 2013 out of a passion and desire to provide connoisseurs and collectors with timeless antiques. We love finding and providing the rare and beautiful antiques that show up in the old estates of the Northeast.

Our focus is on providing genuine antiques and high-quality vintage pieces for those who see in them the beauty that we see.

In 2016 Cherish the Old added another layer to its offerings by partnering with A Thing of Beauty Vintage Finds LLC in Atlanta GA, adding quality pieces from the 19th and 20th century as well as the occasional new or newer exceptional piece to our inventory.

Who We Are

There are different kinds of friendship, hopefully everyone has that one friend that they can call and no matter what the crisis, or no matter how long it has been since the last interaction, that friendship is as strong and as present as it ever was. That’s the kind of friendship we have.

Best friends since childhood (although separated by marriage to their respective loves & a great deal of distance), Sharon and Cynthia are pleased to be able to join in this great adventure together.

We hope that you will share in this passion for “all things beautiful” and enjoy browsing our beautiful acquisitions and learning from our blog. We enjoy the hunt for treasures as much as we enjoy sharing them with you!

About Fine Antiques

According to Wikipedia, An antique (Latin: antiquus; “old”, “ancient”) is an old collectable item.

It is collected or desirable because of its age, beauty, rarity, condition, utility, personal emotional connection, and/or other unique features, an object that represents a previous era or time period in human society.

We follow the common practice of defining the term “antique” to objects at least 100 years old and vintage items as those older than 20 years.
